PLAY THE UFO PROTOTYPE
Instructions
Explore the level and find boxes
Try not to get killed by the aliens
Bring the boxes back to your base (the starting area)
Unpack the boxes in the base
Arrange the items that spawn
Boxes will spawn every time you move in/out of the base, and aliens spawn constantly. The spawn points are randomised, so you can keep replaying to find different boxes in different areas. Your health will also replenish when you return to the base.
CONTROLS
Movement: WASD
Jump: Space
Attack: Left mouse click
Switch to Inventory: Tab (you will then be able to click on inventory items. Tab again to switch back to gameplay. Sometimes buggy, if that happens just jiggle the mouse and maybe click a bit and try pressing TAB again)
Pick up items: Hold E (Note: The cat refuses to be picked up, just like real life )
KNOWN ISSUES
Cat scratcher will clip outside the wall and can be lost if picked up near the wall
Pressing a movement button after pressing tab messes up the switch between game only + UI (jiggle mouse and click then press tab again to fix)
The doorway on the spawnable building is a little too small for the player character's collider, and the player character can catch on it (the player character's collider is really large as a bandaid solution for another issue)
Multiple animation issues (things like the enemies will clip into walls when hit, animations will play in the same direction regardless of where they were hit)
Enemy punch sometimes clips through the player character and obstructs the camera
If the player spawns an item while close to a wall and facing a wall, the item will spawn outside the wall and fall into the void
AI will not detect the player if the player is behind them, even if hit
Sometimes an extra box appears in the inventory
It's hard to rotate spawned items
